Applications for Absentee Ballots for 2020 Elections may be accepted starting on January 1, 2020.
You must request separately for each election in 2020, that you want to vote absentee.

NOTE: Ohio Law does not allow automatic sending of ballots or applications.
You must send in your application or request an application be sent to you.
March 17, 2020 Primary Election extended until April 28, 2020 for Vote By Mail ONLY
Contact the Board of Elections for information on how to cast a ballot in the extended Primary Vote By Mail. 740-432-2680
Deadline to receive the application for the extended Vote By Mail Primary to be mailed to the voter.
Application must be received at the Board of Elections no later than 12:00 NOON Saturday, April 25, 2020.
If mailing, you should allow enough time (minimum 7-10 days) for the postal service to deliver your application to our office, and for our office to send your ballot to you.
By law, voted Absentee Ballots that you return to us by mail must be postmarked by Monday, April 27, 2020 to be counted for the March 17, 2020 Primary Election.
Your voted Absentee Ballot may be hand carried to the secure drop box in to our office on the Extended Election Day, Tuesday, April 28, 2020 by 7:30 P.M.
Very Limited OFFICE Hours for In-Person Voting*
*Only on April 28, 2020 6:30 am to 7:30 pm at the Board of Elections Office, for voters that need to use the ADA voting assist technology or those voters who do not have a permanent physical/mailing address.
No one may pick up a ballot for another voter. Only the voter may receive their own ballot.
