Application for Absent Voter’s Ballot (11a)
Applications for Absentee Ballots for 2023 Elections may be accepted starting on January 1, 2023.
You must request separately for each election in 2023, that you want to vote absentee. See bottom of this page for the link to print your application (11-a)!
NOTE: Ohio Law does not allow automatic sending of ballots or applications. You must send in your application or request an application be sent to you.
Absentee and Early Voting at the Board of Elections begins April 4, 2023 for a May 2, 2023 Primary Election
Early in-person voting hours for the May 2, 2023 Primary-Special Election are: Week 1, 2, and 3 hours are 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. Week 4 (beginning Monday, April 24, 2023, 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M, Tuesday, April 25, 7:30 A.M to 8:30 P.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2023 through Friday, April 28, 2023 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. Saturday, April 29, 2023 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and Sunday, April 30, 2023 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.)
Early In-Person voting ends Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 5:00 P.M.
Absentee (vote by mail) and In-Office Early voting is available to ALL REGISTERED VOTERS. No reason is needed. Contact the Board of Election for more information 740-432-2680.
DEAD-LINE:
Below is the deadline for the Board of Elections to receive an Absentee application for the May 2, 2023 Primary Election for a ballot to be mailed to the voter. These dates were effected by HB 458.
Application for a ballot to be mailed to you, must be received at the Board of Elections no later than Tuesday, April 25, 2023 by 8:30 P.M. If mailing, you should allow enough time (minimum 7-10 days) for the postal service to deliver your application to our office, and for our office to send your ballot to you. By law, voted Absentee Ballots that you return to us by mail must be postmarked by May 1, 2023 to be counted for the May Primary Election. Your voted Absentee Ballot may be hand carried to the secure drop box in front of the County Administration Building at 627 Wheeling Avenue, Cambridge, Ohio 43725 or into our office on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, May 2, 2023 by 7:30 P.M. No over the counter or ballot drop box ballots will be accepted after 7:30 P.M. Election Day.
Critical Information:
No one may pick up a ballot for another voter. Only the voter may receive their own ballot.
In Office early voting begins April 4, 2023 at 8:00 A.M. Contact the Board of Elections for more information. All registered voters may vote early if they choose.
